Hetalia Durability and Striking Strength help.

So a user did question me about some things. I explained that to him but now I need to make sure most of us are on the right page here.

For durability. I at first had that at Wall Level/Attack Potency, for the character itself. However. Since these characters ARE countries themsleves, shouldn't their durability be higher?

I moved durability higher to country level because in this anime France, talks about how the HRE (Holy Roman Empire) is "gone" and "no more" (picture will be provided). Now, since these are countries, shouldn't that mean that to do a final blow, or any attacks in general require enough power to take down a COUNTRY?

And besides the picture from the anime provide. It is a fact that the Holy Roman Empire was mainly taken down by Napoleon/France in real life.
Holy Roman Empire

It wouldn't necessarily require that durability level, based on what the verse page says, it seems more like type 8 (reliant) immortality. Especially since it wouldn't actually require busting the country, but it could also involve invading or otherwise taking over the country.

One interesting thing about Hetalia's immortality is that even some country's that have been taken over or have fallen...STILL show up in the show. For instance. Prussia. It no longer exists. However he is reffered to as East Germany by the Regular Germany (Which he calls frequently, West) So perhaps there is still some sort of concept of Prussia?

Also. Rome frequently appears in the show as well. However his state is long gone. Though maybe it's because many of the characters...specifically Italy and Germany mention him quite often.

However. Besides the invading the actual land of a country. Character countries do in fact still face off. Only if the character country loses does it seem, for the most part, that country ceases to exist and the concept of it is forever gone.

So not sure if I should keep wall or move to country.

Well type 8 immortality just means that their immortality relies on something, not necessarily their life, which sounds like what you're describing. So even if the country falls, as long as no one kills the character-country they'd stay around.

Do the character-countries fight physically? If so then their physical AP would match their durability.

If they were the land masses, it might be better to put them at country level, but since they're the political entities, I think it probably makes the most sense to place them at their highest displayed feat.

On a side note, I've been wondering for a while, where do the stats for the standard military and nuclear arsenal come from?

For as far as I have seen. They do fight phsyically against each other.

As for the standard military and nuclear arsenal come into play. They do have the ability to command their country's military. They have shown to do this freqently in the show from all the way back in WW2 in the Campaign in Africa (Britain/America) and in the modern area where they have used their military to fight off alien invaders. (They've actually developed arms and even tanks in the show as well.)

Of course, America would have had to use the Little Boy and Fat Man bombs to defeat Japan at the end of WW2. But this anime of course is made in Japan. So this hasn't been shown. But since this is an anime based on history, this has indeed happened.

Okay, then it's probably best not to put them at country level durability, since that would scale to their physical AP and make their militaries obsolete, so it seems like it would be inconsistent.

I figured that was probably the case, but I was wondering where the city, country, and possibly continent level ratings come from. The standard military equipment and devices in the real world range from wall level (handguns) to cb level (large bombs and ships like MOABs and aircraft carriers), while nukes range from town to city level, and I believe the full nuclear arsenal of the US is around island level now and has been since before 1983, though around the time of WWII it was smaller.

Also, are they able to utilize the full military? Or are they only able to call up individual weapons/vehicles at will, that they then have to operate?

I see. So I guess Superhuman? Although, to me that also seems fairly low. But I could be wrong.

When I discussed this 2 days ago with other users in the chat. They also agreed with the idea that since they are not human, and refer to each other as the country names (Even the humans do at times. For example. Mr. France. Or casually "Germany") that they should be be getting country ratings. The continent level ratings are purely "possibly" that is not a final raiting nor definate. Also, they were given town/city raitng because they have the ability to use their military in any scale possible.

So yes. They can use their full military if need be. I have a clip of this.

Of course, in earlier epiosdes America has also commanded a battlion of soldiers when he was fighting his revolutinary war with England. There are many other instances but these are the most notable ones.

This isn't nescarily strictly military. But this could also help me with determining stamina.
Britain and Italy
Britain and Italy

Now that I am looking at pervious episodes. It seems that Germany, at the begining of one episode, was able to hit England with a rocket launcher, as they are walking away, this rocket is still present in England's head...and he is also still concious.

Well, as I mentioned earlier:

"Regular human military forces do not have particularly high destructive capacity in themselves, without nuclear weaponry involved, and even all of Earth's nuclear weapons combined only reach tier 6-C, if all of it was released at once https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/The_World's_Nuclear_Weapon_Stockpile_/_Arsenal "

"They only kill each other on a cultural level, not on a physical destructive scale. Othervise Italy would not have existed afterwards."

And:

"They are antropomorphic manifestations of different cultures, so that is probably the level that they fight on."

I attempted to adjust the two profile pages for Britain and America.

I suppose this is acceptable. Perhaps if new information is out that nuclear weapons are stronger, the tier may raise.

On the other hand, did this story not take place during WWII, rather than today? Back then, only America had very few, comparatively limited, nuclear weapons.

Story is mainly focused during and after WW2. However it does go back even further via flashbacks. In the more recent episodes, seems to take place in the modern era.

I am actually contacting the creator of the anime via email. Hopefully he will respond with his own input on the tier rating and how things work. That would be very helpful. I gave him a link to how tiering works and the character pages I already made.
