Something is only an outlier if something contradicts it. How about this, current Gohan is massively weaker than his Buu Saga self, by quite a lot. Current Future Trunks is at least as strong in base as Goku and Vegeta are, if not above. To imply that Gohan would stand a chance against Trunks is to imply that current Gohan's base form is as strong as post uni-6 tournament Goku and Vegeta, which is laughably wrong.

This is a stomp, I can argue Ultimate Gohan fight against F Trunks (pre SSA), but current Gohan is far weaker and F Trunks far stronger; only way to make this fight fair is Cell Games Gohan vs Babidi Arc F Trunks, otherwise, its a mismatch.

Actually he kept Super Saiyan Rage, but he isn't using it.

They go SSJ2 in this fight, and SSJ2 Trunks is only on par with SSB Goku and SSB Vegeta via asspulls.
