I am half-tempted to finish Demon Slayer to see if the Battle Spirit is underplayed, overplayed, or accurately portrayed on profiles. Though I have other manga's on my list so that'll take a while (So I have a grace period before I torture myself with that manga)
i read manga profiles are acc if they dont have the will they literally cant even fight demons and flee lol

In so many ways by abilities that are overpowered. You can also bypass fear hax with overpowered abilities such as acausality or really any physiology that makes you uninteractable. I agree it's less fun to fear hax an opponent to death or smth tho.
Coming from a guy who re-read the entirety of Kimetsu no Yaiba to fix the dog**** profiles (I still don't know where the profiles got "can sense malicious intent" from. It was proposed in a CRT with no scans and accepted without argument), Castorice, to my knowledge, is correct.
as a kny supporter i think its overplayed. it's been namedropped once, used only a handful of times throughout the series, resisted a handful of times, yet it's an insta-win even for the weakest characters.
What no resistance to an ability does to a mf:

It’s only been named dropped once because Akaza is literally the only character that knows what the name is in series. Everyone else addresses it as aura or pressure. Everyone in the verse has a fear hax resistance potency scaling chain as hell.

Warhammer characters skill Stomp 🥀
Mostly named characters but fodder can work lol. If not, we can also do tag-teaming ig. A few months ago I had my Wolf vs Taurox match leaning towards Wolf but it died because no one cared 😔

Whats wrong about Castorice

Also aint this dude straight up getting reiatsu crushed bro 😭

I mean it looks good without context. But that's also what it's missing; context. For all I know, seconds after this clip ends, both Tanjiro and the dude with the gun start attacking or defending themselves from that Upper Moon dude. Plus that dude has status as one of the strongest demons as well which sometimes plays a role in fear hax stuff. It's def making them hesitant to fight, but it's not like the dude was attacking them and ripping them to shreds while they couldn't move out of fear. He just stood there aura farming (Literally in this case)

One of the biggest missed opportunities in Demon Slayer is having Tanjiro figure out what Compass Needle does, and just...not explain it. AKAZA DOESN'T EVEN EXPLAIN FIGHTING SPIRIT. It's alluded that Battle Spirit is someone's intent to harm...but it's just that. It implies something, but no concrete evidence. It cuts to Inosuke talking about his ESP and Tanjiro says "Well, maybe Akaza's stuff is working like that." We know Akaza is sensing Battle Spirit, but not what it is. Literally Tanjiro is sitting there thinking about Compass Needle

And then says "I understand it now"

BUT THEN HE DOESN'T EXPLAIN IT?? HE TALKS ABOUT HIS DAD, BUT IT TELLS US NOTHING ABOUT BATTLE SPIRIT. THE BEST THING WE CAN GEAM IS THAT IT'S BASED OFF OF EMOTIONS.

I still think that's one of the craziest Battle Spirit feats in KNY.

Top tiers can genuinely force mfs stand in the SAME PLACE and listen to their yap

Akaza was internally bleeding, how was that the craziest BS feat

They have resistance to fear and paralysis and can resist it using that afterwards. This wouldn’t work cross verse if the guy has zero resistances

To be fair, Battle Spirit isn't passive, but it's dang near. Like, someone could fight Zenitsu for a little while, but shortly after Battle Spirit just shows up and negs the opponent.

If they have a resistance to it they shouldn't be affected at all. You basically just said "Hey look, this fear Manip stops people from doing stuff" and then showed me people in a scene receptive to it, but didn't actually show me it hindering them from actually fighting while actually being attacked. And then said they have a resistance to it. And then said they can resist it more by using their own Battle Spirit afterwards. Like this is confusing you have to admit. Show me a person with no resistance being affected by it if you don't mind.

Thats exactly that. Resistance. Not immunity. I made a crt that gave everyone who has fought muzan this

Out of good faith, I went back and watched the episode where the scan came from.

Afterwards, Tanjiro managed to push through Battle Spirit (the guy just kinda moves his arms and that's it), but like, Genya is near a tree still incapable of moving from Zohakuten's Battle Spirit. Then the screen cuts away, then comes back, and everyone's fighting normally. We don't even know how long Genya sat there paralyzed for, if Zohakuten deactivated his Battle Spirit (Yes, characters in kny can control their own Battle Spirit), or if Genya locked in. Take a guess, LaserPrecision.

Even then, they all have a resistance potency to fear and paralysis already in the first place.

I'll take a guess once I start reading it. Or watching it. What's the preferred experience. I assume watching, but does it leave out any important info?

Legit the anime. stick to the anime. The anime might as well have been a TYBW adaption due to how faithful and improved it is from the manga. (Movie 1 Infinity Fortress was astronomically improved from the manga as well too)
