It works on humans and demons but it’s more powerful against demons.

It pierces through magical defenses, bypasses durability to some extent, and breaks down a person's body (Although that may just be a demon thing).

So, an energy beam with a decent amount of AOE that takes like 2 words to be cast.
Assuming a Hybrid won't count as a demon (considering the fox devil in chainsawman specifies hybrids are neither demon nor human and there are many instances where abilities that affect both fiends and humans are useless on hybrids ) It would probably screw up whatever part of Denji's body gets hit, but as long as he still has an arm, his heart and his head left he can recover immediately by pulling a cord (but he can only do it a few times before he runs out of blood this key)
He would try to grab Frieren with his chains wich should be around ten meters of range eyeballing if she tries to run away like the Darkness Devil, but SBA does screw him by a lot since they would be kilometers apart due to Frieren's range. Doesn't help Denji she has Extraordinary genius level intellect and can do invisible attacks. The chances of him reaching melee range to attack her are slim.

I'm actually voting Denji here as he has shown the ability to dodge attacks like these
Such as when he was fighting Gun Devil Aki whos attacks could 1-shot him
IMO Denji can traverse the distance and get in close where his higher AP would be to his advantage
I don't know how good Frieren is in melee combat but I doubt it'd be above Danji's level
Even if she was, Denji still can just tank her attacks to some degree since he can resurrect a few times before he's down, similar to his fight with Aki
