MHS+ Speed
From the Lightning Feats page:
Relativistic+ Speed
The characters being upgraded to Relativistic was considered an outlier before (when they were just Hypersonic), but now that they also have MHS+ feats I think the following feats could be more feasible:
From the Lightning Feats page:
Proof that Storm's lightning is real lightning:Lightning that has demonstrated at a minimum a few properties that real lightning has, and significantly less properties that lightning shouldn't have, can be considered real. Some examples of favourable properties are: making muscles of affected beings contract, having an (electro)magnetic field, being shown to actually move with a speed similar to lightning, flowing through conducting materials, the character being able to manipulate real electricity or electromagnetism in general, generating ozone or causing electrolysis.
- She can control and summon cloud-to-ground lightning and transform into it
- Her lightning has magnetic properties as it can be affected by Magneto's magnetic fields
- Can flow through conductive materials such as copper as stated by Magneto:
-Storm, fry 'em.
-A bolt of lightning into a huge copper conductor. I thought you lived at a school.
- And in extended scenes it was shown to flow through Adamantium and water
- It can mess with electronic devices
- When Storm uses her powers, she generates and uses ozone as stated by the novelization:
By the time he left the shelter of the doorway, wind was whipping enthusiastically across the Great Lawn and the scattered figures of students were racing for cover. He could taste the ozone in the air; it made his skin crawl.
Clouds had then begun to form over the table, thin streaks that quickly merged and grew into big-bellied cumuli and from there into the anvil-topped monsters of cumulonimbus, creating a pillar of force and energy that reached barely a foot above Ororo's hand. Outside, with the vastness of the atmosphere to play with, this thundercloud would have easily topped forty thousand feet. Jean had smelled and tasted ozone, and the static electricity generated by the tiny cloud had raised the hairs all the way up her extended arm. Another bolt of lightning had followed, from deep within the cloud, joined by a minor drumroll of thunder.
The page also states this:Her eyes danced back at his, accepting the challenge, and they turned from a warm and welcoming brown to a blue that started as deep as the most magnificent sky before paling to an arctic blue-white. He felt the hairs on his body rise, saw that McCoy felt the same — although there was a special undercurrent to the sensations be felt that he would always keep to himself — as Storm brought her energies to bear, smelt and tasted the faintest hint of ozone.
And Storm's lightning is 8-A based on this calc and also via scaling. So I think that Storm's lightning meets enough requirements to be considered as real lightning and therefore have MHS+ speed. If so, the speed of the characters should be upgraded based on this MHS+ calc and also other fights where they were able to kept up with her lightning as supporting evidenceAdditionally, for calculations that involve lightning speed, one has to consider that the speed of real electricity can change due to a variety of factors, but for practical purposes, concerning attacks that are electricity-based, if they display power comparable to that of natural lightning, they should be considered to move at a comparable speed. It is required to show that the electricity carries an energy of at least 1.6 billion Joules or a voltage of at least 100 million Volts in order to qualify.
Relativistic+ Speed
The characters being upgraded to Relativistic was considered an outlier before (when they were just Hypersonic), but now that they also have MHS+ feats I think the following feats could be more feasible:
- Wolverine blocks Weapon XI's Optic Blast (Sub-Relativistic)
- Magneto dodges Cyclops' Optic Blast (Relativistic)
- Jean Grey blocks Cyclops' Optic Blast (Relativistic)
- Sabretooth dodges Cyclops' Optic Blast (Relativistic+)
