What is Plato’s Form of the Good? And what is the difference between it and Plato’s archetypes?

The sun gives off light which visible objects reflect into our eyes, making us able to see these objects. But when the luminance of the moon is reflected instead, the object is more blurry. The good is to the world of forms as the sun is to visible objects

Interesting. The Form of the Good still exist in the realm of forms though right? It’s just transcendent to the forms that exist in the realm.

“In like manner, then, you are to say that the objects of knowledge not only receive from the presence of the good their being known, but their very existence and essence is derived to them from it, though the good itself is not essence but still transcends essence in dignity and surpassing power.”

(509b) The Good is also stated to transcend the Forms and surpass them in power
