The three first protagonists of Assassin's Creed (Altair, Ezio and Connor), their sacrifice is nothing short of amazing.
Also I think Ryuji Goda from Yakuza deserves a lot of respect (Among other characters like Mine and Kuze, who are also some of the most enigmatic and respectable personas in the series). He didn't ever think of cheap tactics like kidnapping Kiryu's adopted daughter or slashing Kiryu himself with a sword when he was exhausted, and always fought fair and square even when on the verge of death.
