Difference between shockwaves and explosions

im mostly asking because i first wanted to make a content revision thread but i should be sure on this topic:

https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Katsuki_Bakugou

katsukis speed stat mentions that he is able to react to his own explosions (but his reaction is at subsonic)

shockwaves move with the speed of sound, so i wanted to ask: if we say seperately that his explosions are faster if he attacks with them, how fast would they be?

are explosions at the same speed as shockwaves? (transonic)

Apparently not.

That means that explosions caused through things like supernatural powers, lasers, lightning etc. can not be calculated using this method.

- From Antvasima's link

Well, his sweat is stated to either become or at least gain properties similar to nitroglycerin. Not sure if that would help though.

but from how bakugoug ability is described he uses his sweat that has similar properties as nitroglycerin,

would a explosion created via nitroglycerin have the same speed as a shockwave?
