ok i will give an example why the argument that xenoverse having infinite timelines contradict whats been shown the way timelines work in the series doesn't work.

SO XENOVERSE CAN HAVE INFINITE TIMELINES BUT ITS JUST AN INCONSISTENCY.IT JUST DEPENDS WHICH SIDE WILL YOU CHOOSE.AND IN THIS CASE THIS IS THE LATEST INFORMATION WE GOT SO WE SIDE WITH THIS INFORMATION(INFINITE TIMELINES) OVER OLD INFORMATION.THE FACT THAT SOME PEOPLE ARE SAYING THIS CONTRADICTS THE WAY TIMELINES BEEN SHOWN IN DRAGONBALL ARE FORGETTING ONE THING.IT IS THAT AUTHORS ALWAYS MAKE A MISTAKE.THE AUTHOR BEHIND XENOVERSE ARE NOT WORRIED ABOUT HOW THEY ARE GOING TO SHOW THE WAY TIMELINES WORK, WHETHER THE WAY ITS BEEN SHOWN TO WORK DOES OR DOESN'T MAKE IT INFINITE.THEY DON'T HAVE ANY OF THIS IN MIND.THEY JUST WANT TO GET THE FRANCHISE GOING AND THEY ARE GONNA DO WHATEVER THEY POSSIBLY CAN TO.

At any rate, I am confused on this though. How is infinite timelines impossible in Dragon Ball, if there's tons of timelines that have different events, like normal multiverse theory?

but the egg already contains ALL the time and a whole story and not just a part of it as you should be suggesting, including the giant hourglass that has in the city is said to have all the flow of time (I have scan about it all but in Portuguese then it is no use sending), but we will not deviate from the original focus of the conversation.
