yeah no, they treat it as a literal picnic, as in eating and leaving leftovers, not some metaphor for something qualitatively inferior.
that part in the higher dimensional section is not using picnic as R>F, it is using the fact that it can reach and eat stuff from lower and higher worlds freely, still 4D
