Range superioty give an edge for Godzilla.

Cloverfield is really skinny and barely does any damage by himself, he can't take Zilla with that, even with the little abominations he sweats out of his skin.
Attack Potency: At least Large Building Level physically (collapsed buildings by just walking into them), City Block Level via Atomic Breath (reduced entire city blocks into ruins)
Yup. He loses to Zilla's mouthfart.

Hmm... well, since this is the original Godzilla, he sadly doesn't possess the legendary mouthfart. Godzilla still wins this fight though because Clover can't inflict the damage needed to kill Godzilla (even with Clover's size advantage, Godzilla is still 4x heavier) before Godzilla kills him. It wouldn't be an instant roast-death, but it would happen eventually.
On a side note, am I the only one who's excited for 10 Cloverfield Lane?

Original doesn't have the mouthfart but he still has that melting breath attack.

^True. Original Godzilla's atomic breath has crazy thermal conductivity to make up for its utter lack of any concussive force.
