Clearing all notifications

Is there a way to mark all notifications as read, regardless of how long it has been?

There's this specific notification I had since early January and it seems to have been buried under the many notifications I've had since, I don't know where that notification comes from, but the 1 red mark is distracting me. I've tried to mark all notifications as read but it seems to have effect only on the notifications currently loaded above it

yeah? theres a mark read button on the pop down list and the notification page
