I think I can see why nobody really thinks Maxwell can take on Bugs. Like, dude's friggin' busted!

It wouldn't be hard for Bugs to just use something Spatial or Teleportation to grab the notebook before he can do anything, or even using paralysis inducement/telekinesis to hold him in place. That's not accounting for any of the other things he can do way faster than Maxwell can plus his luck and charisma.
