Bleach soul manipulation

As the title says, didn't bleach character should have soul manipulation on their profile? since most of them already fighting in soul form and soul reaper's zanpakuto is able to purify the soul and quincy basically destroying hollow's soul to the point it cannot reborn to soul society.

This is the prove I gathered :

"Souls (Ú¡éÚ¡ä, Konpaku) refers to the spiritual beings that reside in the Rukongai area of Soul Society and the spirits of dead Humans in the World of the Living. While many Souls are deceased Humans from the Human World, it is known that they can be born within Soul Society as well."

• That means soul in bleach meet the criteria of an actual soul

"Pluses (µò┤ (ÒâùÒâ®Òé╣), Purasu; Viz: Wholes) are the benign ghosts in the Human World. They are the spirit of a person who has died.

All Hollows were once Pluses which have lost their heart and become beings of pure instinct."

• Hollows basically pluses, and pluses are the spirit of a person, prove the Hollows is a spiritual beings

"Shinigami are spiritual beings that are responsible for regulating the balance of Souls between the Human World and Soul Society They act by sending Pluses to the Soul Society by Soul Burial and they are also responsible for fighting and purifying Hollows with their Zanpakutō."

• Shinigami also a spiritual beings that able to purrify hollow and send them to reborn as soul in soul society

"Shinigami govern the souls between the Human World and Soul Society, which maintains a balance that if not kept would result in the mutual destruction of both worlds. All souls, including Hollows, are subject to the Shinigami governance of maintaining the balance."

• This prove shinigami job is to mantaining balance of soul.

"Quincy completely extinguish Hollows, thus the souls that come to the Human World do not return to Soul Society and therefore the souls would increase only on the side of the Human World."

• This prove quincy also able to harm or even destroy the soul, as the the hollow cannot be reborn to soul society, essentialy destroy them.

Now let's talk about reiryoku & reiatsu, the main source of power in bleach.

"Reiryoku (Ú£èÕèø, Spiritual Power) is a power aligned with the spiritual sensitivity and willpower of the user. It is used by Shinigami and other spiritual beings to provide power for their various abilities.

Reiatsu (Ú£èÕ£º, Spiritual Pressure) is the physical force/pressure that a person's Reiryoku creates when released. Most Shinigami, Arrancar, Quincy and Bounts can manipulate the release of their Reiatsu.

The difference between spiritual pressure and spiritual energy is simple: Reiryoku is the amount of energy a being has stored within their body or soul, whereas Reiatsu is the pressure that a person's Reiryoku exerts. In other words, Reiryoku is potential while Reiatsu is energy in use and can be sensed by other spiritually aware beings. In general, those with high levels of Reiryoku will often have the highest levels of Reiatsu also. A skilled warrior can overcome a person possessing greater Reiryoku by possessing greater Reiatsu. This is achieved by having greater control over their own spirit energy."

• so basically reiryoku is amount of soul energy while reiatsu is the physical force/pressure that a person's Reiryoku creates when released, but the main points is they are using spiritual energy as source of their power.

Now lets talk about zanpakuto.

*A Zanpakutō (µû¼Ú¡äÕêÇ, Soul-Cutter Sword; V foiz "Soul Slayer") is the main weapon of the Shinigami, the Arrancar, and the Visored.

Each Shinigami carries a Zanpakutō, and each Zanpakutō is unique: the swords are reflections of a Shinigami's power and soul, and sentient beings unto themselves.

A Zanpakutō's shape and abilities are based on their Shinigami's soul. Once a Shinigami learns his/her Zanpakutō's name, they can communicate with one another and grow stronger together.

Zanpakutō are born with their Shinigami, and they die along with their Shinigami."

• That means zanpakuto is more or less a manifestation of the user soul or part of their soul, born with their shinigami and die alongside them.

"Because they are part of their owner's soul, a Zanpakutō cannot be replaced, though it will slowly regenerate if it is broke"

• Not going to asked for soul Regenerationn, but this prove shinigami at least can take damage to soul

"If a Shinigami pierces the chest of a Human with their Zanpakutō and channels their Reiryoku through it into the Human's body, it will transform this Human into a Shinigami temporarily."

• This prove zanpakuto can be used to manipulate reiryoku

This is a basic power of zanpakuto :

"Konsō (Ú¡éÞæ¼, Soul Burial) is the process by which a Shinigami sends wandering Pluses in the living world to either Soul Society if they are good in life, or Hell if their life was full of evil acts (such as murders, theft, etc). Konsō is performed by using the pommel of the Shinigami's Zanpakutō to tap head of the soul, thereby transporting them to the afterlife.

Hollow Purification: When a Hollow is sliced with a Zanpakutō, it is cleansed of the sins it committed as a Hollow, and is led into Soul Society. This is called sublimation. Souls who live in Soul Society are reborn again into the Human World."

Wait, Bleach doesn't have most of its characters with Soul Manipulation?

That seems weird considering almost every notable character is a ghost or spirit of some kind.

It wouldn't make sense for them not to have soul manipulation, it's pretty much the building blocks of the verse.

I am not sure, shinigami/quincies in general haven't shown the ability to affect souls of living beings directly, have they? I want to see what others think

I mean, "souls" could be just the source of their power, as well with things like Ki, Chakra, Mana, Cosmos etc.

Well, shinigami are fighting in soul form so its logical if theyr'e injured that means their soul is damaged as well, at least some bleach character should have resistance to soul manipulation listed on their profile. Of course I'm waiting for more opinion, I'm just find it weird that bleach character didn't have soul manipulation or at least resistance to it since 'soul' is their main theme of the series.

I'm sure at some point that we have agreed that bleach character does have some resistance to soul manipulation(lord aizen too have agree) but then the upgraded was never happen.
