Becoming Knowledgeable on Dark Souls

Just recently, I managed to complete my first ever playthrough of Dark Souls. Honestly speaking, it's one of the best games I've played in a long, long time, and I'm glad I finally gave it the chance it deserved. I would love to be able to get involved with the Dark Souls community on this wiki, however, I've hit a bit of a roadblock.

I do understand a surprising amount of the Dark Souls story, through both occasional helpful lore explanations and also some connections I've personally made through things like item descriptions. However, I definitely would not consider myself 'knowledgeable' on the verse. Sure, I know that Artorias is a badass and Solaire is mah sunbro, but in the end I still don't know much about it. And short of just scrapping together and connecting every little hint I can find in the game myself, I really don't know where I should start to get a better understanding to the point of being capable of properly participating in discussions.

So, that's my question. For the knowledgable members on here involved with Dark Souls, how did you end up learning what you know now about the verse? And would you have any tips or advice to help a fellow fan in jolly cooperation?

Just watch Vaatividya on youtube. That's where all of us get our lore from.

Also if you play on a PS4 you can add Bambu and me. We have all 3 games plus Bloodborne.

Vaati's a good idea and you could also try LPer's that talk about the lore. Personal suggestions would be Plauge of Gripes and the Super Best Friends

Nice! Thank you for the advice. I only have DS2 and Bloodborne on PS4 (played DS1 on Xbox) but I'll consider following you guys. I'll check out Vaatividya as well.
