I recently got Hotline Miami & have been playing it non-stop it is SO fun. So, why not put the main character from one of my favorite games recently and put him up against the main character from one of my favorite shows recently?

Barry Berkman (Barry) vs Jacket (Hotline Miami)

Ground Rules:
  • Speed is equal
  • Fight takes place in a crowded Walmart during the 4th of July (floor plan looks like this)
  • They start 20 meters away with no line of sight
  • Jacket has an M16 (2 clips) & a knife
  • Barry has an M4 Carbine, a Beretta M9 (2 clips for both), & a knife
  • Both have prior knowledge on each other
Barry is 1 KJ & Baseline Peak Human (227 KG)
Jacket is 3 - 3.9 KJ & 7,391.5 KG

Jacket has a 3 - 3.9x AP advantage
Jacket has a 32.56x LS advantage

Who Wins?

"You loose your focus, you give the other guy a chance to fire, you're DEAD! KILL! It's the only word I want in your f*cking head. Kill": 0 ()
"You'll never get the big picture, and it's all your own fault": 0 ()
Mutual Killing: 0 ()

In terms of skill, Jacket and Barry may seem comparable, but the former has numerous feats that surpass anything Barry has done. Jacket is a veteran in a war against a country with professional armed forces of a superpower like the former USSR, and on top of that, he was part of an elite special squad capable of wiping out entire battalions of dozens of those dreaded Soviet forces. To make matters worse, his skills exhibit an absurd lethality, fighting brutally while also remaining tactical, as demonstrated by his ability to annihilate groups of mobsters and an entire police station.

In terms of combat skills and weapon handling, I will lean more towards Jacket. However, when it comes to stealth, I would say that Barry has a bit of an advantage and it might even be his specialty in this fight, as he was able to escape from prison without being caught. He can keep up with people without them noticing, and I believe he is perceptive enough to spot Jacket before he does.

With all this, I think deciding on who is somewhat difficult because it seems like it would be a matter of who strikes first or who catches whom. If it turns to stealth, it's likely that Barry will win, but if they close the distance or find themselves in a shootout, Jacket will surely win. Additionally, Jacket has a much better chance of winning in a hand-to-hand encounter due to the advantage of AP and LS, as Jacket knows how to make good use of both.
