Uh... Aleister faced off against True GREMLIN in their hidden realm. That puts him two tiers above Galactus who is only 2-A with the Ultimate Nullifer. Kind of a stomp...

I assumed he needed some time to prepare facing the magic gods as well.

to be fair, we who read the Novels don't know enough about Aleister.

Yeah, the smartest thing would be to wait until we know more about Aleister's powers before using him in battles, like Aiwass he's too much of an unknown right now. We don't even know how his Blasting Rod or Archetype Controller work.
