(Added/Concluded) Indrid Cold vs The Operator (Movie vs Movie)

PROPHETIE
MovieOp
The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.
~ H. P. Lovecraft
Fear of the unknown, fear of mystery, and fear of what we cannot control is a popular and frightening idea. Due to this, it often shows up in horror, from books to web series. The fear can be reinterpreted, told a new in other media, like movies. That is true for these two. One is the movie adaptation of the Mothma (Called Indrid Cold) as it appeared in the John Keel novel, The Mothman Prophecies. The other is the movie adaptation of the main antagonist of the web series Marble Hornets, The Operator. Who would win?

Set Up (for fun)
Mary's breathed rabidly and fiercely as she ran into her apartment's parking lot. She collapsed beside her dead boyfriend's car, not looking up. She knew it was locked. If she had however, she might have seen the entity that had flown over head. She lifted her camera to eye level to see if IT had followed her. There was nothing. Mary dragged in a shaky breath and leaned against the car. She closed her eyes, trying to keep in the tears. She heard footsteps from something that has landed. Mary's head turned and was blasted with light, almost being blinded. The luminous figure then said "Do not fear, my name is Indrid Cold." Mary, confused and afraid, turns to run but hits something. Tears begin streaming down her face. It had caught her. She didn't have time to confirm this before the operator has killed her. The blinding light in a humanoid form, though it saw nothing, muttered "This will be interesting..." The Operator tilted it's invisible faceless head as it reanimated the teenage girl.

Rules
hope that wasn't very cringy and was worded correctly. ANYWAYYYY

  • Nothing is Equalized (That includes speed)
  • As stated in the mess above, the fight takes place in a parking lot
  • The Operator has one follower/helper (I'm assuming that is how his Necromancy works, if it is not than the end of the "Set Up" will be removed)
Result
Indrid Cold: 7

The Operator:

Inconclusive:

Darn. It's a shame nobody's responded to this yet.

Good god this matchup is good. Nice setup, btw

Speed equalization is irrelevant as both of their speeds are unknown. Unfortunately I feel like Slendy's type 8 and Reality Warping gives him an easy win, and Indrid's Mind Manip is countered by Slendy's own.

Ironically, if it was the book's version of Mothman the matchup seems like it'd be much closer.

Why thank you.

Also the key being used doesn't have Type 8 Immortality, it also has these: Limited Technological Manipulation, Reality Warping, Necromancy, Telekinesis, Teleportation, Invisibility (Can only be seen through cameras)

As for Reality Warping, he really shouldn't have it. He never uses anything close to that in the film and it doesn't even have a feat linked. On another website for vs debates, the link was to the climax of the film where The Operator just spam teleports.

Will Indrid's probability manipulation or precognition have any effect on the battle?

In that case, I'd definitely give this to Indrid. His precog and telepathy will nicely counter teleportation and invisibility, and he can just mindhax Slendy and his follower no problem

Also for later commenters, all of Indrid's abilities: Flight, Teleportation (Of itself, people and objects), Mind Manipulation, Heat Manipulation, Non-Corporeal, Shapeshifting, Disease Manipulation (Caused eyes to enflame along with other ailments such as bleeding in the eyes), Dream Manipulation, Selective-Visibility, Light Manipulation, Sound Manipulation, Technological Manipulation (Controls TVs, Home phones, cellphones, cars, etc.), Perception Manipulation, Illusio Creation, Can cause people to go into a lulled trance, Fear Manipulation, Clairvoyance (Know all he wants to about a perso, along with future events), Memory Manipulation, Immortality (Type 1), possibly Probability Manipulation (Though not responsible for all the accidents it predicts, it is implied Indrid at the very least caused the Silver Bridge to collapse), Telepathy, and Biological Manipulation (Is alluded to be responsible for Mary acquiring a glioblastoma brain tumor)
