about FTL , distances and time

what effect does FTL have on the concept of time, if a person from a planet far away attacks another person at speed FTL then is he attacking him in his past?

Suppose character A in galaxy A is seeing character B in galaxy B, Now both of them are actually seeing the past version of each other and not current. Now if a person was to attack at ftl, and reach the other galaxy at this instant, will he be attacking in the present of the attacked galaxy or in the past?( or is it possible to reach the future also?)
