Aard and Igni damage level

Any idea how much powerful could be Aard in terms of AP and Igni? For Igni, could be logical to calc it's level of temperature. Could be Igni be powerful as a flamethrower or more? Any thoughts?

Aard is not causing much damage to living creatures as it's a telekinetic blast, but it's good for destroying durable objects like stone/ice.

Igni is just normal pyrokinesis, nothing special.

Igni can damage armors, I think it can reach really high temperature if it can damage thick pieces of steel. About Aard, in game it can push away a lot kilograms of concrete or stone, so the kinetic energy should definitely be in the multi ton level

It can mainly bypass armors, but not melt them entirely. I think we can actually damage metal with fire IRL, just really hot fire.

I believe you are talking about that scene where Geralt burned Imlerith's head with Igni. Well, it somewhat burned his helmet but his helmet had several openings.

There is a specific upgrade for Igni in the game when you can damaging armors. Melting steel in a really short period requires tremendous amount of temperature, a flamethrower, for example, can't do that. So, not melting, but still, damaging an armor probably require not less than the same temperature that can reach a flamethrower.

Ah, stat upgrades.

Not knowledgeable on them, I'm more of a lore dude, so I'll leave that to the more professional dudes on that regard

A food for thought.

Yep, I think Igni should be at least powerful as a flamethrower, most likely quite more powerful.

If Aard is always more powerful than Geralt's AP, and Geralt is a strong High 8-C, close to 7 tons, might be possible for Aard to be a 8-B or really close to it?
