Simple and clean (or not quite):
40m apart, no direct line of sight, Joel's equipment is maxed out and Price's is the one in his playable mission with the best loot
They're fighting in the Gears 3 map called Aftermath, no prior knowledge or prep and speed is unequal

Joel's Inventory - M16A4, Mossberg 500, Serbu Super Shorty and Taurus Model 66; a brick, 2 molotov cocktails, 1 nail bomb and 2 medkits
Price's Loadout - PKP Pecheneg with Red-dot Sight, M4A1 Grenadier with ACOG Scope and G-18 (One more than what he carries in the game but we'll count that bs as game mechanics); 4 frag grenades and 4 flashbangs

Besides bumping, i'd like to say that Joel's hearing will just get him an edge here, which i think is enough to get him the W mid-high diff
 
How skilled is Price? Joel has faced a lot of military trained guys, but I think John might be on another level

We can presume that they faced as many military trained guys, more or less, but John uses and fights against more modern equipment
 
John's specialty is more modern equipment and he shoots good af

While Joel also has experience but has his good af hearing as a great edge here, so despite John's equipment being 20 years more advanced it shouldn't be stompy to his side
 
Oh shit Joels got subsonic combat speed. I think that gives him the edge here, that, plus with his hearing and stealth, price is gonna have a hard time finding him while joel can land relatively free shots.

Best case scenario for john here is he happens to throw a grenade right where joel is and can pin him down, but even then, lowkey, joels brick comes in clutch. That shit saved me so many times in tlou lmao it literally has auto aim

Yeah, if they fire at each other with some distance, Price uses grenades way more commonly than Joel does.
But ig Joel will be trying a stealth kill, which he tries more than a ranged gunfight, so if they start one it'll be at a less grenadable range

you're inclined towards Joel, i assume? Voting him?

he's got subsonic combat speed from scaling from ellie who can dodge arrows. John only has peak human speed. So not only is Joel faster, he can always tell where John is while staying in stealth.

I'm certain John is probably more "traditionally" skilled (Isn't he a SAS agent?), while Joel mostly faces military-adjacent factions like the Fireflies, who are more of a guerilla group than anything, and thus less skilled than the super evil russian soldiers Price fights or whatever. But COD strikes me more as a shooting gallery type game where you go in guns blazing all the time, so I doubt Price would be able to keep up with an enemy who is so adept at stealth and can basically see through walls.

I know I already voted, I just wanted to expand on what I said bc I kept thinking about this lol
