I still strongly believe that's fire. It looks like fire and I think the slayer gets on fire when hit by it if I remember correctly. Also, it sets the ground on fire too. Lasers and light based attacks generally don't behave that way right? Cause if it was light wouldn't it just leave burn marks...
Still worth a shot. And yeah lore matters but the lore doesn't explain whether or not the icon is really shooting lasers or if the Khan is shooting lasers. The code could have something to help figure that out.
To figure out if some of these attacks are light, couldn't someone skilled enough break into the games code and check the names of the attacks or something?
I'm sure someone here could do it.
I agree. But I doubt he will be able to face an entire waaagh or a give fleet tendril by himself. I think he'd need some help there..... But if he can spam BFG shots so it's tendrils can wreck everything hed probably kill more than anyone else.
I remember once in WWW a long time ago, they said Nyarlathotep had no feats at all. And when presented with feats he said that he did all that in a dream because the dimension he was in was called the dreamlands
I asked this on r/Doom and r/whowouldwin. The former wanked the slayer and people thought he could beat Kharn and draigo. The latter had people saying the slayer can only take on an Ork Nob or tyranid warrior and that his feats regarding speed (dodging rockets, and meteors) couldn't be used...
By the way, I don't know if any of you would really care for this but, on the Doom fandom wiki page of the cyberdemon I found this;
"Its primary attack is to aim its arm cannon directly at the Slayer to lock on a powerful "seeker wave," producing laser beams from the tips of the four outer...
I asked the question. I think you've convinced me. In fact, not only did he punch chains Titan could not break, when he punched it it, he did so very casually from what I can tell. Should that count for something?
I see. Is it possible to dodge those things in the game? Every time they'd come out they'd hit me from the back or from overhead.
Also, that thing about him breaking the chains the titans couldn't, the Titans were both chained up and couldn't use their hands, the only thing they look like they...
Sorry to bring this up but, can we be sure the Slayer dodged meteors? In the building where you fight the icon there's two floors. It's possible he just ran to the second floor so the first floor could protect him. Just saying.
Also, this may be a dumb question but for the sake of Doom slayers profile, are we to assume the crucible swords can only be used for 3 swings or is that just a game mechanic?
The only thing I can think of is maybe time flows differently in hell. So like, maybe 1000 years passed in hell while in Taras Nabad only 5 years passed. But this is based on speculation
Guys I'm an idiot. For some stupid reason it didn't click in my head that the Titan in taras nabad is a different one than the one in 2016. So the Slayer has killed more than two, at least three. My only question is, why is the Titan in taras nabad still full of flesh and bone while the Titan in...
Most of the demons he fought were most likely imps, hell Knights, etc. Of course theyll get stomped. I don't see why that means he's stomping Titans like nothing.
Atlans were probably the ones who took care of other Titans most likely seeing as how Doom Slayer was a general so he probably busy leading charges and whatnot. Also the fight with that one titan went on for a while it's not like he could go around stomping Titans like he stomps hell knights...

I doubt the Slayer took on other Titans besides the 2016 titan and the icon. I don't think the game would miss that info especially when it's trying hard to be the ULTIMATE power fantasy.
He didn't but its pretty much implied that he at least used his crucible and his super shotgun since we see him wielding those two in pretty much all the lithographs
It can't be the Crucible it was still imbedded in that Titan in Taras Narbad while Doom Slayer was in Hell so it at best could have been some of the regular ass Sentinel Weapons from the Night Sentinels that came with him
That's the Titan we're talking about. The Titan at Taras nabad is the...
I just noticed if you look at that video that was linked in the previous thread where Midnight interviews Hugo about the killing the Titan, Hugo says The Slayer also used weapons in addition to his bare hands.
I'll be honest, as of where we stand I don't think anyone in Doom eternal has Speed of light anything. I'm not saying I can't be convinced but right now I think the only way to know is to ask Hugo Martin via Twitter or something like some people did with Hideki Kamiya. If some does do it, I hope...
