Likely, yes- that does imply Ainz has some knowledge or has a reason to believe he is safe. Kind of odd, considering he's only been that confident around people he is sure have no chance at killing him.
No no no- what I mean is that he'll end up with a net positive Pokes Per Hour (PPH) and win via more pokes into the enemy. I have a formula for this, so stay with me here.
Let us assume he gets two normal humans with two arms. I devised a complicated formula for calculating the number of pokes...
Then this is hard to tell. One time he did one thing, another time he didn't.
Could I see the page where he did not teleport away, full context? This thread is quite long.
Ainz, in a majority of his volumes and appearances, will get serious the moment things don't do as planned. As proven against Shalltear, if faced with the unknown (A spell failed, Ainz doesn't know why), he'll get the **** out of there. Especially with the enemy charging at him.
An enemy who...
Chances are if he teleports away he'll use some information-gathering spells, check for things like Data Life, and end up playing insanely safe because of it.
Any way Ainz does't just teleport away and range spam?
Also, so Ainz can hurt him, but only through range spam. So this comes down to if Ainz can teleport away and play a paranoid magic caster the entire battle.
Does IB actually "passively scare" supernaturals? Because then Ainz would actually teleport away, since a not emotionally suppressed feeling would weird the **** out of him.
[Day 7, 2:54]
"They've been poking each other for days now. Security breach already neutralized, partially due to the... distraction, of 049. The foundation has no idea how this other man got into the facility. Construction has already begun around them while they are distracted."
I vote for...
Didn't we discuss that if a spell from Ainz failed, he'd never let himself get hit like that?
But yea this seems incon at best, since unless there is away around Touma's power null shit Ainz really can't win. Potentially a stomp, even, as the best Ainz can do is teleport around and cast spells...
If Grasp Heart fails, he'll teleport far away instantly. He's done something similar- when Wish Upon a Star failed against Shalltear's Mind Control, he freaked out and teleported far away on an instant.
I don't know enough about Touma to vote, but Touma will have a hard time hitting him.
Is...
I'm actually not sure on this. Solid Snake is likely better in a no-tricks fight, but Joseph could trick and go toe to toe with Pillar Men, who have far more experience. But, I'll vote for Solid Snake since with no weapons nor items, trickery won't be as useful here.
I have no clue how Rimuru went from a cute slime to fighting Vecna.
And I can't even pit her against Nicol Bolas yet, how lame!
I'm going to watch this. May vote later.
BoS Rohan, probably not a stomp but I'll give it to Rohan with little difficulty since Rohan's not going to let a serial killer who magically kills people all across the world pull out a book in the middle of a fight. That's like you're fighting a guy in their secret lair and instead of...
Even then, Rohan doesn't actually have to let Light know that he plans on killing him. Unless Light has a reason to want Rohan dead (In which Rohan just shoves paper in his face), Light's going to lose eventually.
But let's say Light wants to kill Rohan. Rohan's going to see that book, and he's...
One could argue that this is not a stomp because Lightbulb COULD kill Rohan...
...and ignore the fact that when a haxy 10-A can beat someone without even using their hax in the first place, this isn't a fair match.
BUT THEY COULD!
Rohan leads with Heaven's Door and figures out why Light was pulling out a really creepy book.
Alternatively, Rohan beats the shit out of Light with his FISTS!
Okay, ignoring Rohan breaking character and beating Light to death with his own book, Rohan uses HD, reads up on what the book's about...
He actually hasn't shown to not use Time Stop on the assumption that they don't have it. Knowing Ainz, who is both capable and spends his first rounds in PvP tournaments testing the opponent and figuring out what they do, he'll probably Time Stop if he's threatened just to see if he can. After...
Yea, Thing looks like he has the disadvantage. However, it is possible that the two humans that come out could play a factor- Depending in how trusting Goblin Slayer is, they could easily trick him into his demise. But I don't know GS, so, anyone want to provide insight on how Goblin Slayer...
Sure. That'll make it more fair. But if Wish is a nonissue or less of an issue at all, which we have put forward Tezz can very likely counter or negate before the spell is cast or while it's being said or whenever he finds it best, Tezz can just dedicate his prep to dealing with Wish and AP, or...
We just listed a multitude of reasons why Elm couldn't pull off Wish- most notably, that Tezz was able to stop causality hax.
So not only does Tezz have better use of prep time due to precog, but he has a confirmed way of dealing with causality manip.
Tezz wins, and unless evidence comes up to...
Undyne via durability, green mode, and danmaku tiring Sans out.
Ignoring the HP argument, she's still extremely bulky and very fast. Sans won't be able to kill her before tiring out due to all her attacks.
Dargoo brings up a good point. Unless Elm can beat this,
Most interesting of all was his ability to see sideways in time. With the expenditure of considerable mana—easily done, given my current plenitude of etherium—he (and I, through him) could directly perceive the consequence of any given...
I think Rohan takes this. Looking like just a funky dude, Kars likely has no reason to go for the kill off the bat. Kars isn't the type to whip out his strongest hax to kill instantly, especially on an unknown opponent who could offer more power through their own Stand.
From there, Rohan will...
I think The Thing can take this through using a human to lure Goblin Slayer into a trap. I doubt the Goblin Slayer would suspect a random human without info on it's parasitic abilities, would come in expecting a normal fight, only for a bunch of Mini-Things to drop on him and start trying to...
@Dargoo Can you specify what they can do with prep time? Or else we have each of them setting a death trap for the moment battle starts, and possibly going out of their way to destroy enemy prep, and a complicated rabbit hole from there.
He made such to defeat intruders, and there is no reason why a man capable of stealing someone's mind powers with technology can't slightly modify a pre-existing device.
Tezz has precog, so he'll have better info over Tezz and his abilities. Meanwhile, Elm will have to individually poke at gods...
