I've read a large part of the Spacebattle page at one point or another. It's a great compilation of information, but like most threads and discussions of its kind, it largely ignores anti-feats. Now could you point me to some specific feats, rather than linking a huge thread to crawl through and...
That's ridiculous. Source please. CHIM is mentioned like 3 times in the games and always in vague and contradictory terms. Only one person we meet in-game claims to have it (Vivec) and you can beat him to death with your fists.
And we don't even know if anything above the Divines or Daedra...
The entire mantling stuff is a mess in TES, the games haven't yet made up their mind if it matters or not. In ESO we learn that people have mantled Sheogorath before (Haskill being an example), but in Oblivion I think we are told that Sheo has never tried this before(?). I know some people think...
Same issue with this site. The actual source never explains what the 'darkness' is, the site just decided themselves.
And keep in mind that even the Monomyth claims that spirits existed before the concept of time. But you are probably right that one can have both type 8 and 9, though they be...
Yeah but the problem with those is that it has no direct source for it. It's just the wiki making a claim. That site often mixes up Oblivion and the void outside the Aurbis (Sithis).
Well, this is what the Monomyth has to say on the subject (admittedlly the Monomyth is a pretty weak source):
"Some are more bound to Anu's light, others to the unknowable void. Their constant flux and interplay increase their number, and their personalities take long to congeal. When Akatosh...
But is there any mention of their soul (vestige) and consciousness being erased?
There are some sources that say Daedra are cast into the 'void' aren't there? Would a void be considered nothingness? In the past, this used to be High-Godly regen, but idk if it means anything nowadays.
A tricky...
I don't think they are reliant on their concepts though. It's implied that the et'Ada existed before the concepts they came to embody. That is to say: they possibly (?) created their concepts but they don't need them to survive. Type 9 seems to be a superior form of immortality to me.
Hmm...
They have type 9 immortality... which appears to be very similar to type 8 on the surface. Reading the description of type 8 immortality seems to imply that an individual is dependent on a concept for their immortality. I don't think the Princes are dependent on their concept for their...
Definitely disagree with the use of Daggerfall images :P Far too low quality for my liking, not to mention the Princes have changed a great deal since then.
Though I do think we should use a consistent art style for their profile pics. Right now some use in-game images, some use cartoony...
I agree there is some difference.
However, Daedra can still be soul trapped; Mannimarco even planned to trap Molag Bal's soul into the Amulet of Kings to ascend to godhood in ESO.
Which is why I said the difference may not be all that.
Yeah, I'm not denying the possibility. I'm just not sure what to make of it. Cus from a meta perspective a vestige is just a demonic version of a soul (ie the good guys have souls and the bad guys have a vestige), how would that work under standard battle rules?
Well, functionally a vestige behaves just like a soul. So I don't know about soul manipulation resistance.
Didn't know what BFR was at first, but the Princes already have summoning and teleportation.
Oh yeah it would be low 2-C.
"With wanking I could say that a planet = 2-A."
With wanking I could maybe take it up to High 1-B... but we shouldn't do that :P
They are almost certainly somewhere in Tier 2. But the inconsistent nature of the lore, its general vagueness, the fact that a large part of it is myths and legends makes it difficult to be precise. That's not accounting for anti-feats or how weird the TES universe is compared to our own.
So I...
I considered leaving Alduin's 2-C rating, but in the end, I didn't think we knew enough about kalpas and how Alduin resets them to really say.
And again with the 2-B stuff, I don't think we know enough about these realms or how they are created and managed (for example in ESO Bal needed...
Just these two profiles left, they are locked so I can't edit them:
https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Magnus
https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Champion_of_Cyrodiil
It shouldn't in this case and even if it would that's a really tenuous reason to hand out such a high rating. Princes have specific numbers of realms (usually 1 or 2).
Yeah, but none of these characters are ever said to have control over the entirety of Oblivion. The best are some vague implications with Akatosh, which are in turn contradicted by different sources.
That's me. We are changing all the 2-A profiles to unknown. However, whenever I change the rating the profile image disappears and I have to add it again. Not had this issue before.
Okay these should be all of them:
Barbas
Umbra
Aldui
Vivec
Mannimarco
Numidium
Talos
Lorkha
Magnus
Champion of Cyrodiil
Akatosh
Arkay
Stendarr
Kynareth
Zenithar
Julianos
Sheogorath
Hermaeus Mora
Boethiah
Malacath
Azura
Meridia
Clavicus Vile
Molag Bal
Mehrunes Dagon...
That's hardly quantifiable. Everything can be called the soul of Anui-EL, that's his role.
I'm ready to start on the edits. I think we should start with the characters that don't properly fit into any one faction. So these ones:
Barbas
Umbra
Alduin
Vivec
Mannimarco
Numidium
Talos...
We should also remove Vivec's 2-C rating, unless someone knows why he has it. His Unknown with CHIM rating seems sufficient on its own. And probably Alduin's 2-C (and 2-A naturally) rating while we are at it, as we don't know much about Kalpas or how Alduin resets them.
Also, I think the 2-A...
It's cus I like Sotha Sil, but I don't have much interest in Vivec. And most of what I know about Sil comes from ESO, I never played Morrowind for more than 10 minutes.
