This idea has been done a lot. Rave Master and Seven Deadly Sins did versions of this. Rave Master with the arc where Siegrain gets stuck in the past and dies, Seven Deadly Sins with the flashback arc where Diane and King's minds are sent back in time. Fairy Tail also did something similar, but...
Fan translations should be out.
The Gorosei can telepathically communicate with each other, seemingly irrespective of distance
Rebecca still calls Luffy as "Lucy" (and she's training in swordsmanship with her father - which is nice)
It has to be a Wano cover story either way because both Kaido and Big Mom are trapped under Wano
I meant in the sense that Big Mom will come back and be defeated by Luffy. I believe G5 Luffy vs Big Mom will happen at some point. I think Kaido will save Big Mom, and by doing so, pay off his debt...
I thought both Kaido and Big Mom fell into the same underground well of lava? Also, Big Mom still has an unresolved Elbaf connection, which is significant IMO, whereas Wano was Kaido's island and I think he's fallen out of the story now. And finally, Big Mom wasn't defeated by Luffy

The crocodile on the cover page wearing a LacostA T-shirt is hilarious. For those who don't know, Lacoste is a famous fashion brand whose mascot is a crocodile
PS: Fan translations are out
Oda's fondness for playing the pronoun game is getting out of hand ... It gets frustrating sometimes. That said, it's probably the Blackbeard pirates. They're the only group that was shown to be approaching Egghead
