Probably'll do five back-to-back threads, then.
First, Frieza—the easiest. Then, Cell. Next, arguing for a 2x multiplier for Four Witches Techniques for Tien. Finally, Post-Ultra Divine Water Goku being 10x stronger than before. Then, depending on which threads are accepted, I can wrap it all...
Collapse =/= destruction.
"Everything" could be referencing the solar system or, say, the lives of the Z-Fighters?
Does the Solar Kamehameha destroy the universe, or is Cell planning on destroying the universe after?
What does a Namekian know?
General, off-handed statements like "the whole...
I don't even know if I'm using this formula correctly, but I plugged in the distance to the next planet over, Mars, (i.e., the beam length) divided by half for the "explosion radius", and got about 4.38229305e+42 joules, but I'm 99% certain that's 100% wrong. And, also, like lower than what...
Could the narrowed Final Flash destroying a far-out celestial body be calculated in any capacity?
I know it's a pipe dream, but I'd like to be able to apply that—an extension of this panel from the original series—towards the scaling chain.
Y'know, so Frieza's calculation has a friend.
How is that an unreasonable "assumption"?
Transforming was a strenuous effort, and when he finally did, his Ki exploded, which never occurred before.
His Ki was "incredibly huge", even when compared to his Third Form.
He completely blitzed Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta, whereas before...
Every transformation multiplies Frieza's strength by many-fold, and they additionally increase Frieza's latent power.
Final Form Frieza can be twice as powerful as Third Form Frieza when he first appears and still be over forty-times stronger at full power.
How strange,
Top-left corner, directly underneath the graphic containing the "GLOBE OF THE DB WORLD".
球体に包まれた世界は神々の住む天界と人々の宇宙に分けられる。
"The world encased in a sphere is divided into the heavens where the gods reside and the universe where the humans live."
The kanji for "universe" and "cosmos"...
Thinking I might merge my Frieza and Cell upgrades into a single thread since they both affect the scaling chain majorly.
Could throw in the Tien and Ultra Divine Water Goku stuff as well.
Besides, Gohan never exploded into rage after transforming like, say, Vegeta exploded on Beerus (lol.). He was actively playing games with Cell, a fact further expanded upon in grave detail in the TV anime, but I don't care about the anime all that much.
(Unsourced translations in red.)
Gohan, specifically, possesses an "unconscious gentleness", limiting his power, and said power is only fully unleashed when his emotions reach their peak, such as when his friends or family are in danger or when fear takes over and he goes "berserk", but he...
Apologies, but until you can muster an argument that extends beyond "Well, the Wikpedia article says 'cosmos' is a universe", completely ignoring everything the diagram of the map has given you (i.e., 天界), I'm not going to entertaining your weird, humiliation thing any further.
My point was never about whether or not Hell had a diverse geography, my point was that, in the canon continuity, a character like Frieza is bound and damned to an eternity of psychological torment for his endless sins, whereas in the TV anime's continuity, characters like Frieza, Cell, Dr...
And, curiously, you continue to ignore the up-in-your-face Japanese text, the literal description of the realm in question.
You're doing a nominal fallacy here, and not even a smart one—like calling the Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon a 4-C attack.
ehhh, i still don't buy that.
Besides, if Cell had grown twice as powerful, that'd make SSJ Gohan is as strong as Powerweighted Cell, and base Gohan as strong as Babidi Saga SSJ Gohan.
I like how nothing said here actually disproves the belief that Hell functions differently between the canon and the TV anime continuity.
Like, why is Frieza allowed to roam Hell freely in the TV anime in his original form when he was condemned to eternal torment in the form in which he died...
I hate Dragon Ball now, it's gross and icky, and I want no part of it any longer! And, like, it's all cosmology threads now.
And, I have other verses I could index that I'd like to dedicate to; like Parasyte, or Ranma ½, or Rosario + Vampire, and Ghost Fixers.
Hm, I wonder. What should my last Dragon Ball thread be?
I'm thinking it might just be the Frieza/verse-wide (cuz everybody relies on that calculation) upgrade.
The original text is "裏の姿としての魔界が存在する", or "...the Demon World exists as the underside" [or hidden side/inverse side].
The word being translated as "appearance" is 姿, which largely refers to a state of being, rather than a description of physical appearance.
Yeah, why waste time discussing a hypothetical when we can discuss the current subject and then address new findings later?
I mean, I know the answer, but let's pretend it's not that.
I hate how all Dragon Ball debates here have devolved into people who don't know how to debate, reading off of Imgur links they don't genuinely understand, in the service of a goal they mindlessly feed into.
Not me, though.
I'm better than that.
I'm mondo cool.
I don't see how that affects our understanding of the baseline standard for the size of a universe. "Countless" means we can't count them, they're an unquantifiable factor; it just means the Living World is probably a lot larger.
