[JAEL] chat log to [everyone]: I don't care how he dresses, or even if he eats dog food. If he's a member of the team, he can serve a purpose.
Jael still had the adamantine claws out, just in case there were more of those creatures crawling around.
Jael swiftly stabs the creature in the neck with one arm using adamantine claws, giving a grunt before pulling and ripping off its head. It was grotesque, but hey, the Doctor had something else to study now.
Jael walks toward the vents, railgun in hand before flipping it around and holding it like a club. A snarl could be heard coming from the Heavy, yet still not distinct enough for Jael's gender to be identified by it. This would be to lure out any creature that may be trying to find its way out...
Jael prepared the Tempus Railgun to prepare to blast the creatures. Taking aim, Jael waited until one would rear its ugly head...
Before shooting it clean off.
"My very first one was tense. I was a little afraid, scared of dying, but I knew I had to do it... And I almost did die, but then I realized that dying wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. So I kept going. Kept fighting. It became second nature, and even a little enjoyable, too."
(Super sorry for the late response. For some reason my laptop didn't want to connect to the internet for like 2 days straight)
Taeka shifted her own stance again, recognizing that her mirror had a weapon when she didn't. However, she still had a few tricks of her own.
"I don't know what you're...
Zebedee, still a little confused by this, walks through the door.
"I am love..." He reads aloud, turning the handle and going through.
"I don't think I will! Not here!" Taeka exclaims, shifting her stance, "I've been honing my body to fend off intruders, for everyone in Jun, and I'm not gonna...
"Why do I do what? Try to be a hero?" Zebedee asked, "Because if you know me truly, you'll know that's all I've ever wanted to be for the longest time. Because as we got older, we realized the world needed them, they needed lights in the darkness. And fortunately, sometimes being that light...
If it were possible to see through Jael's helmet, a slight eye-roll would be done. The reason the sample was acquired so they could study it later. But, since the Doctor was doing this right now, Jael was not going to leave an ally behind.
Jael listened around, seeing if anything could be...
"Force what out of me?" Zeb asked with confusion, "If you're anything like me, you know that saving people is your biggest priority, even if you lose sight of it in the moment, you remember, and try to make up for when you fail... There are people that need saving. People that need our help. If...
Jael would backtrack a little, but making mental note of the floor in case it needed revisiting.
JAEL log to [EVERYONE]: En route to your location. Eyes peeled for more of this species.
Just in case there was more trouble, the silent straggler would be prepared to swiftly draw the Tempus...
Zebedee was somewhat startled to see a version of himself present. It was like a mirror of sorts... It even carried some of the best physical features of himself that he thought went unnoticed even by adoring fans.
"You're some kind of version of me?" He asked, "If you're going to berate me...
(Edited. I typed that at almost 3 in the morning and it shows lol)
Jael crouches down by it, using the adamantine claws to get a sample of the creature's DNA. If this thing was one of the reasons this building was in the condition it was, it would be best if the team could study and prepare for...
Jael responded via text log again.
"Roger."
Moving downstairs, Jael was armed with adamantine claws, examining corners of the stairwells after securing each floor. All the while, Jael would observe and check for anything that would be of interest to the rest of the team.
Jael's head shook seeing the text log and voice messages. At the building, the Heavy looked around the sides of the buildings.
Watching Rox's six, Jael would examine the area just in case the damage to the building was due to attackers.
Zebedee and Taeka get up. Naturally, the first thing that would be done by both of them, in spite of how near or far they were from each other, would be to examine their surroundings.
Jael was already walking toward Building 32. It wasn't hard to follow the directions and get there at a reasonable pace, checking the rear occasionally to make sure the rest of the team was following and at a good pace.
Jael walks along, wearing the exo-suit in its entirety, not uttering a word. Instead, Jael texted the rest of the team.
The text read as follows:
"Exo-suit oxygen levels are normal."
(Forgot what I was having Kaitlyn do lol)
Kaitlyn was on a walk home down one of the city streets. First teleporting, and now a time traveler? Did someone slip something in her coffee?
"Then we'll deal with you," Zebedee said defiantly, "I don't care what you are, who you are... None of that matters. The only thing that matters now is that you're going to pay for this."
Taeka popped her leg back into place, ignoring where it was broken.
Meanwhile, Zebedee exhaled, going back to blasting the drones with electricity. However, he kept going, with his plan being to overload them.
