No, the KE was debunked.

The GBE in that calculation was 35x Earth's GBE, not 1.5.
Anyway, that's not how GBE works. A denser planet will have greater GBE. IRL, larger rocky planets also have larger masses and surface gravity.

The new calc is the crater on one part of the planet, so it's based on destruction. As I said before, the ejecta on the opposite side is at least partially from the planet's explosion.
