Quantum Devil Saga is the original and unfiltered story of Yu Godai, who had to leave the project due to sickness and health concerns, but was contracted by Atlus to continue her rendition of the events of the story.

It’s essentially the story in its truest sense, proven canon with the existence of recognizable Demons, recurring aspects and plot-lines, and elaboration on things the game couldn’t capitalize on. It’s canon, to put it frankly.
