Certainly. I don't know how they end up scaling but I think the first one might give the highest results.

To start, you should use some photo editing program to draw lines to get the height of the gunmen and the guy doing the dodging- paint works great since you'll be able to easily tell the length of those lines by hovering your mouse over pixels.

How do you go about calculating the distance between the gunners and the dodger from the first panel? They're not on the same level.

This is where angular size comes into play. You calc it for both the dodger and the gunners and subtract one from the other and you get the distance from them.

The tan(70deg/2) part of the equation is confusing me here. How does it work? Does it become tan(35)?
