I don't tend to actively seek out matches for D&D characters, I get the impression it annoys people more than it annoys me when I reveal certain bits of information (layered resistances, 6-C and above being smurfs, etc). The only guy above Tier 6 that I'd want to see a match for would be Robilar, since he has zero hax worth writing home about but still isn't totally defenseless. Plus he's just neat.
Sub-Tier-6 (e.g., Low 7-B guys and below), I suppose I don't have a particular favorite. I dig some, dislike others. I judge matches by how well they go together aesthetically- so for example, I'd put Ezmerelda d'Avenir against a monster hunter, or something similar, and I'd place a shapeshifter against a Werebear or Doppelganger (Dungeons and Dragons) or something.
If you mean characters outside of D&D that I'd dig matches for... Samuel Vimes is the best character, hands down. Something aesthetically pleasing for him would be god tier.
