It has too many differences from the Manhua, you can't even tell its the same. Unless the source material was the novel and the manhua didn't follow the novel

Well, it was most likely based on the original material, and aside from the fact that we are not used to the designs from the novel but from the manhua, there must be changes in the narrative.
