Great finds, though I also read on TV Tropes that Asterix also snapped chains without a magic potion and I don't know which story/volume it came from, since The Banquet has them using it (and we all know why on Obelix's part).

Dunno either but this might support that claim:
Before Obelix breaks those chains, the Roman said that to release him they would need hammers and irons. Obelix said "We are just that". This could apply to Asterix aswell as he was present and quite some time passed since he drank the potion for the last time(Obelix comments on this a few minutes later); so it could be that he wasn't powered up and could pull off that feat on his own

Asterix was said to be multilingual(I think it's when the narrator intoduces the characters in the beginning of the 12 Tasks movie). A german fighter taught him who to use an opponents strength against them. Said fighter was good enough to pull it off on Obelix. Speaking of Obelix, he should have superhuman disgestion for obvious reasons. Asterix lifting strength(whithout the magic potion boost) could scale from the cook in the last link who casually lifted an elephant at the end.

You've got a good point once again, but I still laugh at a whole toast thing in the last link. I commented on that exact video, after all.
