Just set the distance at 3-5 meters so they won't have to worry about getting shot. Guns are almost useless when you're in CQC.

I wouldn't say that, you have a stick that insta-kills anything you point at it. Anyways I would maybe not use Akari because she's a really minor character, I made her profile because she's cool but she doesn't have much for a fight against more fleshed-out martial artists. Reminds me I should probably throw together my skill scaling stuff for KTP characters, the higher tiers are pretty nuts.

I mean there's plenty of 9-Bs in KTP, this is one of the more skilled ones (first key, second is a haxlord). Hell he's even nicknamed Jabroni. He does have guns tho. There's also death manip but that's more of a last resort i think
