Idk, but that could be something. Also if i remember well, Zamasu gets resurrected by Fu in the arcade while in the manga it's as you described

Perhaps it could be more so supporting evidence for the timelines destruction. The number of the Time Rings left is already sufficient proof so Mecha Zamasu's Time Ring no longer existing could serve as further evidence imo.

Hmm, didn't Goku Black use that Time Ring to travel to the Future Trunks timeline? That might support this but not 100% sure

Wasn't that for the main timeline though? When Future Trunks escaped to the main timeline the Time Ring used the space-time distorion to create a portal there
