Not even gonna lie to you, I found it months ago when I did another mist calc for a different verse, but I completely forgot to link the source and now I can't find it again. I know this is far from the most reliable thing for me to say, but it's the truth.

I will say this though: it's very consistent with what mist is. Mist is significantly denser than regular air, which at sea level is 1.003 kg/meters^3.

It seems, though, that the mist density value is accepted on the wiki
