Not exactly. Let’s say 1 scan that proves fire manipulation is from a comic and i reference it as volume 1 issue 7. There is another scan from the same issue, volume 1 issue 7, for the former id simply use “<ref” but how would i reference the latter ?

I don't understand what you mean. Why reference a scan with 2 references to the same example? Why don't you take a look at some pages and see if they have the example you are looking for. Check for example.
