I don't know who or what Ainchase is. That said, I should be blunt- I didn't make Shar's page, nor was I the one who gave her Type 2. She was picked at the creation of Type 2 as one of the flagship pages to represent Type 2 Nonexistence, and I sort of just agreed, given that I dislike discussing higher concepts (haughty shit is boring).

I know that Type 2 is defined as "conceptual nonexistence", which fits Shar as all gods are quite literally concepts made manifest. Shar is a concept made from the void of nonexistence from before the multiverse properly formed. Which is, to my knowledge, word for word Type 2 Nonexistence.

The problem is, it was discussed (and agreed iirc) some time ago that the concept of nothingness (Shar and Ain) shouldn't be type 2, since type 2 isn't any concept at all, and even the concept of something/nothingness isn't applied to them, so maybe Shar just needs a quick revision?

You'd probably need to ask the people who applied it to Shar. Again, while I am the D&D voodoo man, I tend to ignore/hate the Tier 2 people except for Ygorl, who is my son

With that said, I should point out, Shar is not solely the concept of the void. She is the void that predated concepts. There is a distinction to be made there, I believe.

Meh, it would probably be faster if i created a thread to discuss that, but i really don't want to tackle a massive verse i don't know just get a small upgrade or downgrade.

From my small knowledge, the concept of nothingness isn't included in the concepts she predates since she is the concept of nothingness, so that could already remove her from type 2, from the page:

To be clear, Ao made her into the concept of nonexistence but ultimately she is still the void. Again, I have greatly limited knowledge/care for this sort of thing, but from reading the page I think (?) she's fine given her origin.

I mean, if you are fine then i am fine, tho i can give you the quote that i used when trying to upgrade Ain if you want, so you would be able to see if they are really the same case or if i don't get the full picture of D&D's cosmology.
