The side effects is from energy enough to vaporise half a galaxy and too powerful for anyone in Heaven, including Lucifer and The Presence

How did you interpret that the Mageddon energy is too powerful for heaven? What I read from those scans is that they weren't obligated to save the universe and were fine with it eventually getting destroyed since they can just make a new one.

You think God just allows his Creations to get destroyed and thinks its no big deal as he can create a new one whenever he wants? Because thats usually not the case

Because the Angel from Earth felt the need to make a plea to Heaven for humanity's case instead of assuming that Heaven was gonna save it by default.
I only see what happened to Superman as a general side-effect to trying to absorb the anti-sunlight.
