Cool. You can't block while using spells at the same time, so that leaves Rock Armor + shielding spells. 40% + 80% = 120%. Don't know how that'll work in-game. Also, the Physical page says that damage from punching cannot be reduced in any way (defense upgrades, blocking, shielding spells, etc.). Can you check if it's true as well?
- Base damage: At 2:13 in the video, I am not blocking nor' do I have earth armor, and I take a hit from quill daggers. 25 damage each.
- Blocking halves damage: At 2:34 in the video, I get hit by Quill Daggers while blocking, dealing 12 damage each (25 * 0.5 =/= 12 damage, but it lines up if you round up to the nearest whole)
- Rock Armor reduces damage by 40%: At 0:18 in the video, I am hit by a stun combo where I am unable to block. I get hit by Quill Daggers, dealing 15 damage each (25 * 0.6 = 15, lines up)
- Blocking with rock armor still reduces damage.: At 0:29 in the video, I am blocking and a take a hit from a bunch of quill daggers. Their individual damage/quill is reduced to ~7. Notice how the stamina bar at the bottom drops to like 0 (because blocking consume stamina). One of the damage indicators from the quill daggers says 15, which implies that I ran out of stamina and the block couldn't affect all of them.
25 * 0.5 (50% less damage) * 0.6 (40% less damage) = 7.5. Damage indicators likely round down to the nearest whole number. Will have to test with shielding spells but the answer is probably "yes, they do stack".
