Anyone planning on making a profile for Elric of Melniboné?

Oh. I have a handful of those either done or WIP, but I'd be happy to see more profiles made of course. May I see the blog?

I'll post them once I'm finished with my Dragon Age blogs, will update this thread then.

Anyone willing can and should make a profile for all of these. They are comprehensive and have practically all major Elric related characters in Elric's books. Not so much Corum, Erekose, or Hawkmoon. It also isn't focused on the newer comic adaptations. This should be more than enough to have a bunch of Elric profiles, characters from the series profiles, multiple keys, etc. Also, converting to this format is so annoying.

Elric's own feats
Did this a long time ago, it is in release order IIRC, not "chronological" order. Don't read in chronological, Moorcock wrote these books over a period of 60 years and retconned a lot. Just read as it released. Also, wiki kept blocking things, seems certain words are censored.

These are nice, I covered these books myself but it's good to have a second perspective, I'll double check them when I'm finalizing the profile. I think I'll have my hands plenty full with just the profiles I plan to make but I would obviously be in favor of others being made too. I will make a quick note that I don't want to put Elric's dream quest avatars/other selves on his profile because those are still functionally different characters (sort of), some of which have a bunch of their own material to research, plus they'd bloat the profile a bunch.

You mean characters like Ulric and white crow? They should have their own full profile since they have their own entire group of feats and character arc.

I think all of them just like the 3 different avatars of Gaynor listed should be treated like how the DC/ Marvel pages treat alternate universe versions of Spiderman and superman.

Now whether we treat Corum, Erekosë, and Hawkmoon the same is another matter since Elric is an alternate universe version of them too.

I kinda disagree with Gaynor, because he works kind of differently. He's in control of all his bodies, or at least he seems to share a consciousness and awareness in the way the Champions (or even Elric with his dream quest avatars) don't. I think so, at least.

Gaynor might have awareness, but it makes more sense to separate them to different keys and/or different profiles because one always has to take into consideration when alternate versions of a person combine they get an increase in power and the alternate versions always look a bit different, come from different timelines/dimensions/universe and have different equipment. This is just based on making profiles easier and legible for others.

In another way, one wouldn't want to refuse making an Erekosë or John Daker profile because he remembers and knows all of Elric's consciousness, because he's Elric, even though he looks different from him and has different equipment.

He's got way more than three incarnations and a lot of them only have a few notable things, I don't think making like, six or more profiles is making it more legible. In fairness I'll admit I am also just a bit confused by how exactly this all works for Gaynor, it's not very specific or consistent and putting it all in one profile does help to minimize the stuff that's not very clear, but also I just don't think he's in the same situation as the Champions in the slightest.

I'm really focusing on the three incarnations because those are the ones that I'm exposed to across Elric's books. It doesn't need to be six profiles, it can be six keys instead. I was recommending different profiles for the reason you said of making a mess. After transporting all that text to the blog, I see how incredibly messy it becomes for something like that.

If it can all be done on just one profile with several many keys and is legible then that's all fine. I don't know if there are enough people here to do the upkeep like they would if it was a Goku profile. It would just be all you. I also don't think it makes sense to keep them as equipment, especially not for the ones from Elric's saga that have too many feats of their own.

I plan to make a separate key for Gaynor in Dreamthief's Daughter cause that's before his essence is shattered and he's the "Damned" we see before. But afterwards the other incarnations basically all seem like they can do the same stuff, deals with Chaos/Law lords, shining armor that constantly changes color and a bunch of magic swords. He even fights Corum once, gets killed, then comes back again with a nearly identical powerset. I think this is intentional, he's not reincarnating like the champions, he's just born over and over again
