What if? RoF Golden Frieza vs Android 17

Fun and Games for a reason.

What if Beerus never woke up and Goku and Vegeta didn't get the God training from Whis?

Frieza is revived and looks to kill Goku and Vegeta as revenge and trains for 4 months as in canon

His final form effortlessly thrashes SSJ3 Goku and SSJ2 Vegeta and before he kills them, he gloats and transforms into his Golden form

As he was about to kill Goku and Vegeta and all hope is lost Android 17, having felt the entire altercation comes in and makes the save

RoF Golden Frieza vs a Hypothetical RoF Android 17

Battle takes place in the same place in the original RoF saga

Who wins?

Context: RoF saga takes place in late 779 and the TOP arc takes place in 780. While the exact gap is unknown it is estimated to be at least 6-18 months.

We have no sure fire way to accurately tell how strong a Hypothetical RoF Android 17 would be but I think he would be weaker than Golden Frieza but not by much

Between Android Saga (767) and to the ToP arc (780) with a span of 13 years Android 17 was clearly training and wasn't slacking off as he was able to match a SSB Goku that is stronger than his RoF self. With RoF taking place only about a year before the TOP arc, a hypothetical 779 Android 17 shouldn't be significantly any weaker than Golden Frieza and SSB Goku here. I think Golden Frieza should have the stats advantage but not by much. 17 would have trouble against Golden Frieza for sure and it wouldn't be easy but Android 17 is a very tactical fighter and should be able to figure out Golden Frieza's weakness of the stamina drawback and play defensively and stall for time with his barriers and infinite energy until Golden Frieza loses steam and eventually drops out of Golden Form, that's when 17 will strike and immediately go for the kill because unlike Goku and Vegeta, he doesn't play with his food especially when his job is to protect the wildlife and he also has a wife and kid.

Also, Golden Frieza still has a stamina problem.
 
I mean I think you hit a hole in one with your earlier response. Freeza's biggest weakness is 17s biggest strength; stamina. This Golden Freeza can only fight for a few minutes before exhaustion tanking his performance drastically. 17s barriers can block attacks from people much stronger than him (especially if stacked together), so any dangerous attacks can be blocked or evaded.

Freeza never gets the opportunity to wipe out Earth because 17 wipes him out the instant fatigue cripples him cuz he don't play those games. Mid effort fight for 17 being generous imo.
