Well Mahoraga can gain invulnerability by adaptation like adapting to infinite pressure

Limited Invulnerability (Once fully adapted to a phenomenon, Mahoraga becomes completely immune to said phenomenon. It is implied that he survived the initial onslaught of Sukuna's Malevolent Shrine due to adapting to the phenomenon of slashing attacks in general and not merely Sukuna's Dismantle attack. Even Yorozu creating a perfect sphere that applies infinite pressure onto whatever comes into contact with it was useless against Mahoraga due to him already having adapted to the liquid metal she used for her constructions

It is also in character for Mayuri to not completely kill something as he prefers to capture them for experiments

Soul crush is instant and would just immediately kill or incap him, Mahoraga has no time to adapt to soul crush at all.

Depends on the range. Since Mahoraga is out of Mayuri's soul crush range, he can simply "see it" and try adapt it like he did with Yozuru's infinite pressure

Also I just realized Mahoraga is already immune to soul crush due to it being inorganic, as he's made of shadows and energy. So he technically don't have a soul in the first place

It could be a mistake but I think Mahoraga sensing soul crush from outside and adapt it like he did with Yozuru's infinite pressure, he can gain invulnerability that way

Mahoraga has layered enhanced senses/extrasensory as he can see Sukuna's slashes that are invisible, even to sorcerers who can see invisible cursed spirits

Enhanced Senses & Extrasensory Perception (Mahoraga was capable of seeing Sukuna's slashes, which are invisible to sorcerers and Cursed Spirits, and deflect them once it adapted to the phenomenon

And Mahoraga can harm souls via his adaptation (since cursed spirits in jjk are intangible)

I don't believe is NLF as stated that he can adapt to all things in the verse. He also has this

Ce and Shrine aren’t invis because they’re souls/spiritual like how Shinigami are. Ce/curses are invis because they’re in a different light spectrum. Shinigamis are invis as souls and are beyond ghosts. Almost no one can see the contours of souls in jjk, Mahoraga is no different.

This is AFTER he adapted to her ct overall not the infinite pressure. So no he can’t adapt to Mayuri flicking his head.

In character, Mayuri would try do testing to his enemies if they seem unknown or interesting. He would try stabbing Mahoraga first and sees what it can do. After Maho adapts to it, Mayuri would try first to capture it for his science progression (did so like with Pernida)

Cursed "spirits" are NOTHING like ghosts, sprits or souls. They are NOT spiritual beings by nature. They can't interact with real spirits either.

Equalization is for two power systems that are similar. Reishi and ce aren’t the same. And like I said even within jjk the characters can’t see the soul, so equalizing does nothing. Its not a matter of verse mechanics, they are just two different invisibility perception.
