Sharpness 1000 Sword

A sharpness 1000 sword would do 508.5 damage. Find a TNT explosion that also does that much damage and then calculate its destruction, and you could get its tier.

Also, a block of TNT does 32 and 1/2 hearts of damage. A block of TNT is also one cubic meter.

A 1 block TNT explosion would be around Large Building level, as it is slightly stronger than a normal creeper's explosion.

These Sharpness 1000 swords would kill the Ender Dragon in two hits. Making them at least the Ender Dragon's tier. Likely far higher. Making it at least Low 7-C.

Okay. I initially thought that the sword would one-shot the Ender Dragon given it's attack damage is way more than the Ender Dragon's health, but, it didn't seem to be the case after watching a couple videos.

The dragon has a higher durability in the body, if you hit Its head I think it will one-shot

Oh. right. Regardless of the durability difference, it shouldn't change the tier of the sword that much.

Okay. The wiki says that if hit on any part that is not her head, then it would take a quarter of damage it otherwise should've received.

That'd mean it'd deal about 63.5 hearts of damage on areas that aren't her head, hence requiring two hits.

Let's also assume it has Knockback 1000. For each enchantment level, the target gets knocked back 3 more blocks, or 3 more meters. If this sword had Knockback 1000 as well, then it would knock an opponent back 3000 meters, or 3 kilometers.

Well, I'm not really a big fan of using damage ratings for tiers. I know Minecraft has no real plot, but another issue is that I usually prefer to avoid tiering melee weapons given that 90%+ of the time, it just depends on whoever is wielding it. Exception is if it's a magic sword that amps the user or what not.

not all that related but a sword could have an attribute increaser (1.16+) which can go to essentially infinite numbers.

Anyways, using mods as a reference, I believe that if there was a solid tier, then I believe that the highest it could be is a 7-B by itself.

DarkDragonMedeus has made a good point about how strong the sword would be depending on the wielder. But, I'm only considering how strong the sword is by itself.

So, here's the lowest tier rating it could be:
At least 8-B, possibly Low 7-C, likely far higher

The Mid End Tier:
High 7-C

The High End Tier:
7-B

This isn't how tiers work. Sharpness' actual effects are game mechanics.

Multipliers based on game mechanics aren't how it works, no.

If Sharpness 1000 were canon and one-shot the Ender Dragon, that'd be something, though.

Yeah, we don't assume HP damage and Energy yield are linearly related.
