    they are the lunar events, caused by the Lunar Cult, to revive the Moon Lord, of course it would only be messing with the moon, its not oddly specific at all. They Pillars exerting their power on the moon is their whole job, they are the seals of the moon.

    no idea what you are talking about the nebula pillar, but the vortex one very much does have the moon with a ring around it Yeah, no issues there. Never really understoof the lore of the ancient spirits enough to comment on it. there are several others events that directly mess with the moon...

    You mean the achivedment that says “Defeat the four celestial towers of the moon.” ? the achivement showing 4 moons is just artistic interpretation, not something you can say is 1 to 1 to what is meant to happen in game, especialy since the 4 event moon can't be seen in the same place in-game...
