Do you think Luke is as smart as Vader? Out of all the Star Wars characters I’ve seen with intelligence ratings, there are less pages with Extraordinary Genius than I expected, and two of them are Sith.
 
I saw a comment on Twitter about Luke not having any more content (outside of comics and novels) focused on him, especially after ROTJ.

It would be very strange in a series like this to introduce a Force user capable of equaling Luke in some way.

Like Baylan Skoll with Ahsoka.

Because if someone did that, the guy would automatically be > Vader at his prime/peak.

I did, like 2 months ago

I just forgot about nearly everything that happened besides the ending, the final fight, and Leia

so I need to rewatch it before I rank it
(in like a few weeks, I'm like watching all 3 trilogies in order with my bf on weekends, we be on Ep 3 once Saturday hits)

but I legit dont wanna go through EP1 and even EP2 (sorry Jar Jar)

I was able to watch those episodes and I didn't see any problem with them.

In fact, I just don't get though why fans have or had a problem with the prequels and wonder if we're all watching the same set of movies or not, I didn't find them not boring at all when just watching passively, all three were able to keep my attention to the screen and I even had a smile on and laughed a little as I watched them (the sequels didn't do that for me), I didn't really see any problem with Jar Jar at all really, I didn't find the dialogue to be wooden at all, there were times where I think it could have been delivered more subtly but I do think it works to inform the viewer on the situation and the thoughts of the characters. Movies are not comics, video games, or novels where they can sometimes give characters' internal thoughts, and while perhaps the characters could have communicated their thoughts in a different way, how they do it in the prequels is serviceable.

I just don't like them at all imo

I think they suffer from having the most clunky dialogue and outdated CGI in the Prequels.

EP3 is my beloved tho, only rivaled by EP5

I only liked the CGI in EP3. You can feel they updated the tech and budget in that movie.

Yeah, I really stand with Jar Jar. I just can't. I recall the original idea for him was to be a genuinely great general during the Battle of Naboo. Honestly, I would have MUCH preferred that version over what we got. I like dummies growing and becoming badasses.

Making Anakin a child instead of a pre-teen was a weird writing choice ngl George
 
Is there another official name for Force Choke? Because it's weird to call it that in the Force Page when it also involves affecting eyeballs and hearts.

Force Crush is my beloved name, but I'm unsure if that's canon

That sounds better because Force Choke alone makes no sense since....how the heck do you choke eyeballs and hearts?!??!


Side note, Vader might be the best TK user in the verse. He actually uses it meaningfully

You know I can't help but think there is a double standard, the Raimi Spider-man movies were released around the same time as the prequels, and somehow they're beloved despite also having dialogue issues.

But yet again, I really don't get what is so cringy or clunky about the dialogue or Jar Jar did you know that the actor for Jar Jar almost committed self delete upon backlash

Also, Jar Jar is cringe at least in my eyes. You are free to think otherwise, but I just cannot stand him. I would have liked him if he were an actual character with a proper arc (aka the original intention before it got changed) in the movies beyond the comic relief, but if all he does is make jokes that only kids would laugh at, then uh yeah no.

I am aware of what happened to the actor. He should not have been the target of the criticism; the same goes for Jake Lyold (Young Ani). The fans were wrong to target them when it should have been Lucas they should have been angry at.
 
My rating for the films is as follows:

Original trilogy: masterpiece

Episodes 3, 8 and Rogue One: good

Episodes 1, 2: good premise, mid execution.

Episodes 7, Solo and the Clone Wars movie: mid

Episode 9: bad
