There's someone in my fandom who's trying to prove that what was deleted wasn't Weapon Devil but the name for Hybrids. What's that about? Can someone explain?

The Name which referred to those who are not humans, devils, or fiends (Denji, Reze, Quanxi, etc.) was eaten and erased by Chainsaw Man, but their existence somehow was not. We call them hybrids but that's an unnofficial name, basically the "Hybrid" Devil was erased and hybrids themselves were not.

Ahhh it'd be nice to add gifs from the movie to Reze's page when it's out digitally, really makes the P&A section pop. Especially with some minor new powers like her guided missiles or sticks of dynamite.
Will also have to remove that resistance to organic manip from her page. And I still dislike that she's currently the weakest hybrid, being fr she's slamming them all at once other than Quanxi and maybe Denji.

The Church hybrids excluding Barem, sure. Quanxi, Reze, Denji and even Samurai Sword each have their own respective power levels that surpass those of the Church hybrids when it comes to who would win in a fight. I've always disliked the notion that Reze is the weakest hybrid, but with the new movie feats, I'm glad she can move up the powerscaling chain. I'm also excited to see those feats in question, much more the entire movie.

Fortunately, it's possible to buff her with the new feats from the movie.
Seriously, the explosions are much more exaggerated compared to the manga, and even Fujimoto acknowledged this in a tweet.

Guys, I might be able to give Pochita "at least MHS movement speed" (and a solid one) due to him blocking Angel's 1000 years spear. Angel's calc in the movie came out to be a solid MHS feat now, and I'm gonna release the calc when the movie is online.
This might solve various problems later on if for some reason his coming back from space calc can't be used for speed.

Fujimoto has always been aware of how busted his characters are, just that his art limited their showing of power. Several buffs such as multiple solid Hypersonic feat, huge explosions that could even be around MCB+ to Small town (combining with the upcoming typhoon upscale, it will make a lot of sense), which is cool since Reze will scale above most hybrids as she should.

He described them as exaggerated? That's not good if this is true.
If you mean travel speed, best you verify that with the aging devil chase sequence in part 2.
If Fujimoto declares the movie as cannon, and we update our existing blog, then yea.

I remember that was Fujimoto saying it as a good thing, not "exaggerated" in a bad sense, iirc he even wished he could've done it in the manga, something along those lines, but better to check if that's the case.
Pochita's travel speed has kinda always been the burst type, he jumps from place to place rather than running, even his method of throwing his heart is also the same. I'm not sure how vsbattle treats this as though, but if that's his main method of traveling, I think it's valid to call it movement speed alongside being a reaction speed kinda thing.

Seeing as Pochita only erases the names of concepts, but not the processes behind them, would hybrids still have resistance to Existential Erasure and Conceptual Manipulation? Because it’s pretty strongly implied that even if Pochita erased the original name of the hybrids, they came back since the contract between human and devil wasn’t erased.

I presume you're referring to the fact how Nuclear Weapons were able to be reinvented despite previously being erased by Pochita.
The difference is Yoru (a Horsemen) was able to re-remember their name as soon as Nukes were reintroduced, meanwhile, Makima (another Horsemen) not only implies that Hybrids still don't possess name but also explicitly points out they're the sole exception to Pochita's erasure; implying they still existed even as their name was being erased instead of reappearing later on in her speech.

0: I have been mispronouncing Reze this whole time. Despite the evidence that I am wrong, I will not change this behavior.
1: I knew Violence's dropkick was gonna get buffed, but damn. Though, I don't think it counts as a lifting strength feat anymore...
2: Aki and Angel held hands for about 7 solid seconds if my internal clock is right, meaning someone has to update the Angel Sex Copy-Pasta.
3: Holy Beam Durability Upscale, Batman! Denji spinning him like a meatshield to clear out all of Reze's homing missiles(!!!) had me laughing, but then Reze unloaded a full Raiden vs. Armstrong on his gut. Technically he did take a point-blank torpedo from her in the manga, meaning he is already sturdier than Hybrid Denji, but still!
4: Goodness they really showcased how much faster Reze was than Denji in the building scene. I think Denji was concussed, but even then it looked like he was being statue'd at one point.
5: They really went full Evangelion with Typhoon's death, because wow that was a lot of blood.
6: Okay so the mega explosion in the trailer was done with a bunch of smaller bombs spread out rather than a single huge attack, which means it can't just be calc'd using the normal method. And thanks to the Inverse Square Law, spacing out a bunch of small bombs is more efficient than using a single big one in terms of space coverage, meaning it's not like we can just divide a single huge air-burst by however many charges there were to get single yields either.
7: Aaaand Denji's gonna need a [faster with chains] bit tacked on. They really hammered home how effective it is to actually apply Hybrid powers rather than just use the base kit with the tying scene.
8: "That spear's not Massively Hypersonic, it's not even Super- oh." That said, MHS is still a stretch.

10: Powerscaling Brainrot Over, holy shit this movie was such a good adaption of the arc. I love the added bits like the spider and the butterfly during the pool scene, and Makima playing with her cup of coffee to the tune of Reze's russian lullaby when choking the Typhoon Killer.
