Aang fights another ruler of flames

Aang (Kid Avatar State) vs Arvis

Base Arvis is used with any of his possible weapons and magic if needed (but no Valflame)

Speed is equalised

Both do whatever it takes to wi
Arvis
Aang

Aang : 7

Arvis :

Inconclusive :

At first I thought this was a total stomp thanks to Aang's bending making magic pretty useless, but now that I've looked over both sides again, I'm not so sure.

Magic seems pretty useless still, Aang can bend most of the elements Arvis uses as magic, makes using magic pretty harmless to Aang in the Avatar State. Aang also has flight and a little over a 2x AP advantage over Arvis.

But Arvis is surprisingly resilient and hard to put down. Pavise randomly nullifies incoming attacks, his Recovery Ring restores all damage done periodically, and Nihil nullifies 'special techniques'.

If Nihil works on Aang's Bending, any time Aang is near Arvis or attempts to fight him he'll lose a lot of his combat potential, which would take away almost all Aang's advantages here and let Arvis actually make use of his magic again. If it doesn't Arvis is still ridiculously hard to keep down, but since he wouldn't have much he can do to even hurt Aang, he'd probably be outlasted.

I'm on the fence, it really depends on if Nihil would work on something like bending, I think that's what tips the scales in either direction.

Nihil nullifies passive hax abilities and named techniques. I'm not sure if his basic bending skills really counts as special techniques rather than just regular or casual attacks.

I'd lean that they're not, but I'm not entirely sure just because Nihil's rules about what does and doesn't count are iffy. Does Aang lose the ability to use, say, 'The Water Whip' just because of Nihil? Or is a technique like that so basic for the concept of Waterbending that it can't be negated by Nihil? And does the same go for techniques to redirect elements, like Lightning channeling?

I'm overthinking semantics, honestly, but I want to see everyone else's input since I'm too unsure.

I guess I'm incon just because I don't know how the power interaction would play out? And I think for my other reasons that power interaction is the most importaint part.

I will say this, it does not nullify the power of weapons. And it does allow people to use a sword, but it disables techniques such as Astra, Sol, Luna, Eclipse, Aether, ect. Yeah, it is hard to explain what it does and doesn't nullify. And I'm leaning towards that it doesn't null the water whip or lightning bending as it doesn't have properties such as armor negation, nor does it heal health based on damage dealt to the enemy.

Nilih's rules are just a touch too vauge for my liking...but I think I can lean more that Nilih is less than likely to work in this senario. And with that in mind, Aang hard counters Arvis' other options with flight and elemental bending ruining CQC and Magic options.

Arvis is hard to do lasting damage to, but Aang has the knowlage of all Avatars on his side and an AP advantage, and the ability to stay out of Arvis' range and return all his magic, so he should be able to outlast Arvis' healing and attack negation.

I still don't like how Nilih is super wishy-washy when it comes to rules, but I'm gonna lean more on Aang for now.
