I agree, Emerl has an AP advantage. How good is Amazo at copying other people's powers? Emerl can copy other skills quite easily and not only that but he's got like...4000 years of combat experience. Emerl should win this match, I also looked at Amazo's profile and he says he also gains the weakness of those he copies. So, that leads me to believe that his copying ability is simply not on par with Emerl's.
 
amazo is really good at adapting and copying. i've seen the episode he came from and by the end they just had to talk him down because he adapted to everything they had

Thing is whenever Amazo gains a target's power he also earned their weakness and was vulnerable to Kryptonite. Yes, he can evolve but Emerl doesn't have that iusse where he gains an enemies weaknesses. So, I think Emerl has the better copying ability and could adapt to situations better.
 
yeah i guess you're right, i'm not too familar with emerl but he does sound like he's just a better version of amazo
