8-B Ashen One vs High 8-C Beheaded. Ashen One scales to 14.77 Tons of TNT, Beheaded scales to 8.76 Tons of TNT. Not even 2x.

Both have all equipment, spells, etc. Speed is equalized. Battle takes place in Cainhurst Castle. Who wins and why?

The Beheaded:

Ashen One:

Inconclusive: 7 (Foureyez, Stillwinston, Zach, Edwardtruong, Overlord, Gyro, Dargoo)

Bump.

Your glasses have no power here

That image wears glasses

Okay so AP isn't much of an issue, this seems to be more of a hax battle than anything else. Both are bringing all they got too. Ashen One can Negate Durability, become Invisible, Power Null of magic, Mind hax undead foes, will res after being killed. Also has Healing.

Beheaded has some pretty good stuff in his corner, Invulnerability to poison and heals off it. Flight, TK, Invisibility, can also res, Forcefield Creation, Transmutation to make weapons useless, Intangibility, Attack Reflection, Stat amps and Reactive Evolution. Skill is probably equal.

I think the big question is Ashen One able to mind control Beheaded? Otherwise it looks like these two are probably gonna be an Incon in my mind, they seem to be able to counter a lot of what the other can bring.

I suppose Beheaded is technically Undead, though far from the typical Undead Ashen One is used to interacting with. That said. Is Ashen One's mindhax permanent or at least long enough to incap? I don't remember clearly, never really bothered with that stuff.

I think that the Match would be Inconclusive. To clarify, The Beheaded is both parts alive and dead since it is nothing more than a parasite, according to the lore within the game, which uses a Corpse to Fight. So it is not Undead. The only way to truly kill the Beheaded is to destroy the Parasite, but it is seen that the parasite is impervious to all manners of attack (explosives, elemental, physical, magic and so on). The only damage sustained is to the Corpse itself not the parasite and if the Corpse were to be destroyed, it would just find another one. I think that The Ashen One is incapable of destroying the Parasite, as the parasite is unflinching even in the face of The Time Keeper whose attack potency is somewhat similar to the Ashen One if not weaker. The Ashen One Would be Capable of Destroying the Corpses however, but the beheaded would just find another one. In the End the Match Would Be an Eternal and Unending Battle Between 2 Immortals.

Vote: Inconclusive

Um. Yes. The verse is weaker than baseline Dark Souls, but not by much.

Anyhow, vote counted.

Wouldn't the beheaded eventually run out of corpses to possess ?

Also the Ashen one can turn all corpses in his vicinity in to bombs

Good points for Overlord. I'd point out that... well, there's no end to corpses at Cainhurst, considering it is the site of actual slaughter and war, but Ashen One could slowly but surely negate the bodies. This is not efficient for him, however, and not exactly an opening move (none of them are).

Also, does Ashen One have Dead Again spell in 8-B key?

Also in the OP you said the location of the match is Sen's fortress, which is not in Cainhurst.

So could you explain ?

shit my bad I kept making matches in Cainhurst I assumed this one was one of them, I'm actually gonna switch it to Cainhurst to stick with the trend and to keep from forgetting

Also, it is technically possible to get her in 8-B it seems. Hugely unlikely, mind you, due to the prerequisites (like only having to do it before Wolnir, before whom you've already fought Lords of Cinder) but... eh.

From what I see the beheaded has no way to beat the Ashen one

So what is going to happen is that the Ashen will eventually, and by eventually I mean several weeks, be able to destroy all corpses in Cainhurst, mainly thanks to Dead Again.

But then again, the Ashen one can absorb the souls of those he kills and it's in the hundreds of thousands, so couldn't he just absorb beheaded's soul and thus perma kill it ?

Winning from several weeks would take too long maybe? Eventually wouldn't beheaded get the hint and just try to escape after a certain point as well?

Not really, a few weeks is a reasonable time frame

And that would count as self-BFR if Beheaded runned away

But I thought a month was unreasonable, something similar was brought up in the Talion vs Alex Mercer matchup I believe where it would take too long for either to be beaten so it was deemed an Incon. I've not read it in a long while so don't quote me on it though.

Your method of winning for the Ashen One is collecting a soul, yes?

You're implying this can be done for what is ultimately a collection of cells taking over dead bodies.

It isn't unreasonable to assume that cannot be done. So the FRA's for now are valid.

The Beheaded doesn't have resistece or immunity to soul hax, so soul absorption should work, since it even worked on lava sludge monsters.

Also there's the other win con of the Ashen one just spamming dead again until all bodies are destroyed

Neither do most robotic profiles despite that being pretty much blatantly a thing.

I'd agree with you there if it were not for the fact that you assume once all dead bodies in Cainhurst are depleted (which I would imagine to take months/years), that isn't all the dead bodies in the locale. Beheaded can use any body within a week's walk of Cainhurst. That includes entire toppled civilizations like Pthumeru.

Not to mention that he'd have to find every single body and use Dead Again, and likely would not do so due to that being pretty damned stupid in-game if you didn't know what was going on.

I count your vote as valid, but incon is equally as valid.

Bump.

still in bumping range

ah yes

remember this one

Considering the fact that the Ashen One Is an 8-B would it be alright to let the Beheaded use amplifiers to reach this level? (x2,x4 and affixes on his weapons, +300% +175% +100% +60% +30% etc.)

Considering the fact that the beheaded has access to all of his equipment it isn't completely out of the picture that he would receive some of these amplifiers.

If he manages to receive a weapon with +300%, than that already puts him above the Ashen One's AP, throw in an x4 amp that is +1200% from base damage.
